| My name is Pam Bond and I have 22
total years teaching experience, only of which was outside LaSalle Parish.
I have taught kindergarten for eighteen years, second grade for three
years, and junior high and high school for one year. I earned a bachelor's
degree in General Home Economics and a Master's degree in Early Childhood
Education at NSU and eighteen hours in elementary education at LaTECH. I
am presently a candidate awaiting my score for National Board of
Professional Teacher Certification. I am a very active member of Delta
Kappa Gamma Society International, an honorary organization for key women
teachers. I attend many workshops, in-services, conferences and
conventions every year for continuing professional development.
I am married to Brian Bond, the Director of
Pharmacy at LaSalle General Hospital. We reside in East Jena in the
Breithaupt Edition area. We are members of Nolley Memorial Methodist
Church where Brian teaches high school Sunday School and I teach preschool
Sunday School. Our Children are Chris Brady, marries to Stacy, parents of
4yr old Christian and 3yr old Nathan, residents of Hardy AR; Brian David
Bond, married to Amanda, parents of 2 month old Riley David, residents of
Jena; Jennifer Brady, Enrollment Counselor at ULM; Craig Bond, married to
Amy, parents of 5yr old Colby and expecting a new baby in November,
residents of Jena; and Joseph Brady, junior at Pleasant Grove High School
in Texarkana, Texas.
My hobbies are enjoying grandchildren
and family, gardening, reading, sewing and crafts.
God has blessed me with the gift for teaching
young children and I am fortunate to be able to work with the children of
this community to enrich their lives. I strive to help them to begin their
learning experience in such a way that they become life-long learners,
responsible citizens proud of their enthusiasm for education, and
patriotic Americans with a strong work ethic. I enjoy my job immensely,
take it extremely serious, and work with parents and other adults to help
each student reach their potential.
I encourage parents/guardians of my students
to contact me any time I may be of help in our endeavor to help your
